Egypt and the Middle East are lands of ancient splendour enriched by centuries of culture, an exotic region for the intrepid cruiser to explore.
Cruise season:
The best time to cruise on the Nile and Middle East is from October to April when the weather is cooler. However cruises are available all year round. Throughout Egypt, days are commonly warm or hot, and nights are cool. Egypt has only two seasons: a mild winter from November to April and a hot summer from May to October.
Departure ports:
The shorter Nile cruises usually operate between Luxor and Aswan, while the longer cruises travel further north to Dendera. Other main ports are Casablanca, Agidir, Tangier, Tripoli, Alexandria, Aqaba, Dubai, Muscat, Port Said, Safaga, Salalah, Sharm el-Sheikh and the Suez Canal.
